This Privacy Policy describes how and when SolarCharge collects, uses and shares your information when you use SolarCharge. SolarCharge receives your information through our web app and smartphone app. For example, you send us information when you add items on your shopping list or take a photo. When using SolarCharge you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
SolarCharge collects and uses your information below to provide you and others with an improved shopping experience.
- Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create an account, you provide some personal information, such as your name, language, country, email, and password. None of this information is listed publicly in the app.
- If you email us, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond to your request. If you connect your SolarCharge account to your account on another service in order to cross-post between SolarCharge and that service, the other service may send us your registration or profile information on that service and other information that you authorize. This information enables cross-posting.
- Cookies: We would like to give you a user-friendly website with the most relevant information. We do this by using cookies to store information about your use of the website. A cookie is a small file with information that the website stores on your computer. The cookie enables the website to recognize your computer and uses it to provide more relevant information, thereby improving the user experience. We also use cookies for statistical purposes, to learn the use of our site and to check that our website works satisfactorily. The type of information we collect through the use of cookies references your computer and does not include personal information about you. The information we collect includes the IP address, date and time of your visit, which pages of our website you looked at and whether those pages were delivered quickly and flawlessly. You can delete our cookies or block this information by changing the settings on your computer. However, please note that this may cause the website not functioning optimally.
- Log Data: Our servers automatically record information (“Log Data”) created by your use of SolarCharge. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms, and cookie information. We receive Log Data when you interact with SolarCharge, for example, when you visit our website or interact with the SolarCharge app. SolarCharge uses Log Data to provide our services and to measure, customize, and improve them. If not already done earlier, we will either delete Log Data or remove any common account identifiers, such as your username, full IP address, or email address, after 6 months.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
SolarCharge is designed to help you share information with other users within the app. It does not support posting content to your Facebook account or any other social networks.
SolarCharge will not give any third party access to collected information unless in anonymised or aggregated form, see our Terms of Service – section Data Management.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at https://compellingsoftware.com/solarcharge-privacy-policy. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you via an @solarchargeapp update, notification in the app, or email. By continuing to access or use SolarCharge after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy
